भले ही दोनों के नाम पर अलग-अलग जमीन हो,
तो भी ये गलत है ऐसे में सरकार ऐसे लोगों से पैसे की वसूली कर सकती है
एक किसान के परिवार में पति, पत्नी और नाबालिग बच्चे शामिल हैं.
लाभ योग्य परिवारों की पहचान की जिम्मेदारी पूरी
तरह राज्य सरकारों या केंद्र शासित प्रदेश पर है.

यदि कोई किसान खेती कर रहा है लेकिन खेत उसके नाम नहीं है, तो वह लाभार्थी नहीं होगा। अगर खेत उसके पिता या दादा के नाम है तो भी पीएम किसान योजना का फायदा नहीं उठा सकते।
सरकारी कर्मचारी नहीं उठा सकते लाभ अगर कोई खेती की जमीन का मालिक है, लेकिन
वह सरकारी कर्मचारी है या रिटायर हो चुका हो, मौजूदा या पूर्व सांसद, विधायक, मंत्री उन्हें पीएम किसान योजना का लाभ नहीं मिलता। इसके अलावा प्रोफेशनल रजिस्टर्ड डॉक्टर, इंजिनियर, वकील, चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट या इनके परिवार के लोगों को इस योजना का फायदा नहीं मिलता।
10000 से अधिक पेंशन पाने वाले को नहीं मिलता फायदा अगर कोई व्यक्ति खेत का मालिक है लेकिन उसे 10 हजार रुपये महीने से अधिक पेंशन मिलती है, वह इस योजना के लाभार्थी नहीं हो सकते। आयकर देने वाले परिवारों को भी इस योजना का फायदा नहीं मिलेगा।
छोटे और सीमान्त परिवारों को लाभ दिशानिर्देशों में छोटे और सीमान्त किसानों को ऐसे किसान परिवार के रूप में परिभाषित किया गया है जिनमें पति, पत्नी और नाबालिग बच्चों के पास संबंधित राज्य या संघ शासित प्रदेश के भूमि रिकॉर्ड के अनुसार सामूहिक रूप से खेती योग्य भूमि दो हेक्टेयर अथवा इससे कम है।
इन्हें नहीं मिल सकता फायदा जो खेती की जमीन का इस्तेमाल कृषि कार्य की जगह दूसरे कामों में कर रहे हैं।
गांवों में बहुत से किसान दूसरों के खेतों पर किसानी का काम तो करते हैं लेकिन खेत के मालिक नहीं होते। खेत के मालिक को फसल का कुछ हिस्सा या पैसे देते हैं। ऐसे किसान इस योजना का लाभ नहीं उठा सकते।
इस योजना का लाभ लेने के लिए किसानों को स्थानीय पटवारी/ राजस्व अधिकारी या इस योजना के लिए नामित नोडल अधिकारी से संपर्क करना होगा. इस योजना के लिए कॉमन सर्विस सेंटर्स (CSC) पर निर्धारित शुल्क का भुगतान कर किसान अपना रजिस्ट्रेशन करवा सकते हैं
